Franswa Hill

Hello Statesville Road families and community,

My name is Franswa Hill, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of Statesville Road Elementary School. I am grateful for the opportunity to join a community that cares deeply about its children and believes in the power of education.

Education is my second career, and I chose this path because I believe in students and in the positive impact schools can have on their lives. I began my career in education as a special education teacher, working with students across multiple grade levels and learning needs. That experience shaped who I am as an educator and leader. It taught me the importance of meeting students where they are, holding high expectations, and ensuring every child has access to strong instruction, meaningful support, and opportunities to succeed.

Throughout my career in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, I have served as a teacher, Dean of Instruction, and Assistant Principal. In each role, my focus has remained the same: strengthening classroom instruction, supporting teachers, and using data to help all students grow academically and socially/emotionally.

At my core, I believe that when relationships are strong and expectations are high, students thrive. As principal, I am committed to being visible, approachable, and engaged in classrooms, at arrival and dismissal, at school events, and in conversation with families. I value open communication and believe schools are strongest when families and staff work together as true partners.

I look forward to building strong relationships with our students, families, staff, and community as we continue to move Statesville Road Elementary forward, always keeping children at the center of everything we do.
